Trump thinks it is a waste of time for Ye to run for office, afterall, it doesn’t help Trump’s 2024 campaign to have the very popular although controversial West as a political competitor and opponent. He dismisses West as a “seriously troubled man” that needs “advice”.
Ye visited Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago with Milo Yiannopoulos, Nick Fuentes, and Karen Giorno to have a dinner meeting. After the meeting Ye posted a vote to Twitter asking people what they thought Trump’s response was to being asked to be Ye’s running mate.

58.7% of the people that voted on Twitter said “That’s very Ye.” Trump hated the idea, and basically started yelling at him, according to Ye.
Trump is now trying to distance himself from being aligned with Ye, who has been recently criticized by many, not only for being unhinged and mentally ill, but is now criticized for saying many antisemetic things. Trump and Ye once had a cordial relationship, this is likely to change after Trump now sees Ye as a threat to his campaign to run for president and likely views him more of a competitor than an ally.

It is uncertain why Trump felt the need to clarify that West “happens to be black.” But the former president was not happy about the meeting, that much is clear.
Ye visited Mar-a-Lago with Milo Yiannopoulos, Nick Fuentes, and Karen Giorno. Nick Fuentes is a far ring-wing white supremacist. Yiannopoulos is another controversial right-wing figure who has been chosen as Ye’s presidential campaign advisor. Karen Giorno is a political analyst and she worked as a strategist for Trump’s 2016 campaign. She was the only one of the four people at the dinner who has never been banned from Twitter.

In the video, Ye describes how president Trump badmouthed his former wife and laughed at Ye’s plan to run for president. Ye asked former President Donald Trump to be his running mate and Trump absolutely did not like the idea of being vice president. Ye said Trump started, “basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I was gonna lose.”
Ye was banned from Twitter after saying antisemetic things on Twitter. He Tweeted he was going “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” After this Tweet, he was banned from multiple social media platforms and lost his multi-billion dollar deal with Adidas, he also lost his IP to Adidas and Adidas had JP Morgan freeze Ye’s bank accounts. Ye went from being a billionaire to a millionaire in essentially one day.
Shortly after Elon Musk bought the company, Ye’s Twitter membership was reinstated and he posted his first Tweet after being suspended on November 20, 2022. Elon Musk has also unbanned Donald Trump after posting a vote to twitter, with 51.8% saying yes, they thought Trump should be allowed to return to the platform. Trump’s account has been back live on Twitter since November 19, 2022, but he has not Tweeted once since being unbanned.
Former President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter on January 8, 2021, while he was still president. The frequent Tweeter had to find a new home after being banned and he has been using Truth Social as his main social media platform to share his opinions with the public.
